Goodship distributed this powerful documentary into cinemas in 2016. It follows the story of four charismatic and inspirational African women, now living in Australia, who, with the help of acclaimed theatre director Ros Horin, turned their harrowing stories of survival into a joyous theatre of humanity that has filled theatres from across their new country to the other side of the world.
Our ambition is for communities across the country to see the film. We believe it can be an important tool to help change attitudes, deepen understanding and build empathy towards women who have experienced violence and trauma, particularly refugee women.
We encourage community leaders and organisations to host their own screening of The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe. You can hold a screening at any venue in Australia, at the time and date of your choosing. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Through our Cinema on Demand partner Fan Force, you are able to screen the film at any cinema across Australia and the time of your choosing. Visit Fan Force to book your screening now.
